Ketamine Infusion

Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) is usually treated with physical therapy, medications, sympathetic injections and implantable devices, such as spinal cord stimulators or pumps. Ketamine injections are an important new treatment for CRPS patients who have not responded to other therapy. Ketamine seems to work on a cell in the spinal cord that helps generate the pain signals that are part of CRPS. After ketamine, patients are noticing decreased pain and increased ability to function.
